Melanie is a skilled project manager, writer and digital marketer who is adept at coaching clients to generate greater impact through their communications. As a former social worker, Melanie puts the target audience at the heart of every project.
Since 1997, she has developed wide range of outreach strategies for specific communities using digital and traditional media. Melanie is experienced in event planning and crisis communications including training spokespersons. Certified in Google Analytics and Google AdWords, she also has a clear understanding of how social media can be leveraged to move stakeholders.
Melanie has worked with a wide range of not-for-profit and charitable agencies, and is at ease with staff at all levels as well as board members and volunteers.
In 2017-2018 she led a KMA project assisting eight charities in Peel Region as they collaborated on improving their communications. She led each charity through an audit of their communications, setting their unique value propositions, and establishing long-term processes for communications planning including evaluation.
